Easy To Make - Crab Balls Appetizer Recipe

Every New Year's Eve we host a big party and everyone look's forward to it because most of the food we serve to our guests is fish and seafood! One of the appetizer recipes we like to make is called Crab Balls and our guests love it!

Crab Balls Recipe

1 lb. crab meat, finely chopped
1/2 c. canned water chestnuts, finely chopped
1 c. whole wheat bread crumbs, divided
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried mustard
1 tbsp. fresh parsley
1/4 cup scallions, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, finely minced
4 large egg whites
2 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. sesame oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together all ingredients, except 1/2 c. of the bread crumbs until well blended. Form into 1" balls and roll in the remaining 1/2 c. of crumbs. On a lightly oiled baking sheet, bake for 12-15 minutes or until crab balls are crisp and golden brown. Serve with soy sauce or a mustard dip.
