Easy To Make - Frosted Sugar Cookies Recipe

One of my passions in life is baking and I enjoy making a variety of cookies and bars all year long. This recipe is great if you want to make holiday cookies for Christmas time but I also use it when I want to make heart shaped valentines day cookies, Easter Shaped Cookies, Baby Themed Cookies for Baby Showers and so forth. A smart idea would be to keep a variety of shapes and sized cookie cutters on hand so that you always have some for whatever occasion that arises.

Frosted Sugar Cookies Recipe

10 tbsp. margarine, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Vanilla Frosting

*note* You can also use 1 tsp. of Tupperware Simple Indulgence Cinnamon Vanilla Seasoning Blend in place of the 1 tsp. vanilla.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray or line your cookie sheet with the Tupperware Silicone Wonder Non-Stick Baking Mat.

Beat margarine and sugar in a large bowl with electric beater until fluffy. Beat in egg whites and vanilla extract. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl. Add flour mixture to the margarine mixture and mix well. Refrigerate for 4-5 hours. Roll out dough on a generously floured surface to 1/4" thickness or use the Tupperware Pastry Sheet. Cut decorative shapes out of dough using your favorite cookie cutters (I like the ones from Tupperware) and place on prepared cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies turn golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets and place on wire racks to cool and make sure they are completely cooled before frosting them.

Vanilla Frosting Recipe

2 c. powdered 10-X sugar
2-3 tbsp. milk, divided
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Food Color (your choice of colors)

Mix powdered 10X sugar, 2 tbsp. milk and vanilla extract in a medium sized bowl. Add additional 1 tbsp. milk until desired spreading consistency is obtained. You can tint the frosting with food coloring if desired. Spread frosting on cooled cookies.
