Frugal Homemade Cinnamon Molasses Crackers Recipe

I love to save money and I love to bake...this recipe combines both! If you are frugal and love controlling the ingredients of what goes into your snack foods, then this recipe is for you.

Cinnamon Crackers Recipe

2 cups brown sugar
2 cups baking molasses
3 tablespoons cinnamon
2 cups lard (vegetable shortening)
2 teaspoons baking soda
all purpose flour

In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. You will want to slowly add in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Once its of a stiff dough consistency, roll out onto a floured dough board. Make sure you roll it very thin. Using a butter knife that has been lightly moistened with tap water, cut out square shapes the size of crackers. Place the dough squares on a baking sheet lined with the Tupperware Silicone Wonder Nonstick Baking Mat. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 17-20 minutes or until crackers are lightly browned and crispy. Store crackers in a Tupperware airtight container or cookie canister.
