Homemade Freezer Apple Jelly Recipe

If you enjoy making your own homemade apple jelly, I think you will appreciate this easy recipe that is by Sure Jell.

Apple Jelly Recipe

3 cups bottled apple juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
5 cups granulated sugar
1 box of Sure Jell

Wash and rinse your plastic containers.

In a large bowl, combine the bottled apple juice, lemon juice and 5 cups of sugar and set aside. You need to be exact on all measurements for the recipe to turn out correctly. Let this mixture stand for 10-12 minutes while you prepare the sure jell.

In a small saucepan, combine 1 box of Sure Jell with 3/4 cup of water. Bring to a boil on HIGH heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Stir the Sure Jell mixture into the fruit juice mixture. Stir constantly until all of the granulated sugar is completely dissolved. You will need to stir it for 3-4 minutes.

Pour this mixture into your prepared plastic containers, leaving a 1/2" head space at the top to allow for expansion during freezing time. Seal containers. Let jelly stand at room temperature for 24 hours or until set. You can refrigerate the jelly for up to 3 weeks or for up to 1 year in your freezer.
