Easy To Make Watergate Dessert Cake Recipe

This is a great cake to make and serve as a dessert. It has always been a hit at my parties or family picnics, especially during summertime get-togethers. You will want to serve this chilled so it will need to be made up ahead of time.

Watergate Dessert Cake Recipe

Cake:

1 pkg. white cake mix
3 large eggs
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup of 7-up Soda
1 box instant pistachio pudding mix

In a large Tupperware Thatsa Bowl, beat all cake ingredients together until well blended. Lightly grease a 9 x 13" baking pan. Pour cake batter into baking pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

Icing:

2 pkgs. powdered whipped topping mix
1 1/4 cups milk
1 box instant pistachio pudding mix

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the whipped topping mix with the cold milk. Stir in the pistachio pudding mix and use a mixer until its of spreading consistency. Spread icing on your cooled cake. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
