Easy Pecan Caramel Apple Wedges Recipes

If eating caramel apples on a stick is not your cup of tea...then you should try this easy recipe for caramel apple wedges. It makes a great snack or appetizer and kids just love it!

Pecan Caramel Apple Wedges Dessert Recipe

Here is what you will need:

4 large apples (eating variety)
water
8 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter (not margarine)
3/4 cup pecans

Wash, core and peel your apples. Remove any blemishes if needed. Place apples in a pan along with just enough water to cover them and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Remove them from the hot water with a slotted spoon and place them in a medium sized bowl. (Reserve the water)

Now you will want to add the brown sugar, butter and pecans to the water and bring it to a rapid boil. Boil this mixture for 15 minutes and then pour it over your apple wedges. You will want to serve this warm so let it cool down for about 10 minutes before serving.
