Did you know that July 17th is National Ice Cream day? I didn't know that until recently but once I found out that we have a National Ice Cream Day I couldn't resist in planning a little ice cream party for my family here at our home.
We have a fabulous homemade ice cream maker from Cuisinart so I put that into action yesterday and made 2 great batches of homemade ice cream. We made a batch of chocolate ice cream with marshmallow creme and we made a batch of vanilla raspberry ice cream with freshly picked red raspberries that I got from our backyard. Once the ice cream was made...we loaded on the whipped cream, cherries, chocolate shavings and sprinkles and sat down as a family enjoyed our ice creams!
