Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Kettle Cuisine who makes a variety of all-natural soups. What I love about this line of soups is that they are frozen and not canned! The Kettle Cuisine line of soups are restaurant quality and were chef inspired! You will find hearty chilis, rich chowders and savory soups. There are organic, vegetarian, dairy-free and low-fat varieties. These all-natural, gluten-free frozen soups are convenient and can be made in the microwave oven or stovetop.
My Review: The great folks over at Kettle Cuisine sent me 6 of their frozen gourmet soups to try out for all of you. First up is the Angus Beef Steak Chili with Beans which is the first one my husband went for when they arrived! This soup is made with Angus beef, Southwestern spices, red beans, ripe tomatoes, chopped peppers & spicy chilies. Since he was having it for lunch he decided to microwave it and it only took 3 1/2 minutes until it was done. About 10 minutes later I asked him about his chili and he said it was delicious & tasted just like homemade. He said it was a "tad" on the spicy side so if you like "spicy" chili...this one would be for you.
I decided to try out their Chicken Chili with White Beans for lunch that same day. This soup has their all-natural chicken stock, pieces of natural chicken, white beans, sour cream and it's finished off with some cilantro. It took me 3 1/2 minutes to make it in the microwave and then I sat down to eat it. I must say...I am impressed as I am not usually a fan of chicken chili type of soups but this one changed my mind on that! It had a wonderful flavor and I agree with my hubby...tasted just like a homemade freshly made soup!
The following day I decided to make the New England Clam Chowder for lunch which features hand-shucked clams, sauteed onions & potatoes in a nice creamy base. Again...took only 3 1/2 minutes to make in my microwave and wow...this is one good soup! It is a lot better than those clam chowder soups you find in the canned food aisle.
Since I am not a fan of Thai food I left my hubby enjoy the Thai Curry Chicken Soup which is gluten-free & dairy free. It features chicken, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, bell peppers, brown rice, green curry, lemongrass and coconut milk. This one only took 3 minutes to make in our microwave. He ate it right up and told me that it tasted like authentic Asian food.
I decided to have the Tomato Soup with Garden Vegetables which features tomatoes, squash, carrots, celery, green beans & their blend of Italian seasonings. I love hearty tomato based soups with a lot of veggies and this soup is definitely that! It made for a very satisfying lunch!
Finally...the Three Bean Chili which features pinto beans, black beans, chili beans with onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, green chilies and some southwestern spices. Since my mother was here one day for lunch I left her enjoy this one. She said it was very good but had a tad too much spiciness for her...she likes her chilis on the mild side.
