Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe by Voga Italia

This Valentine’s Day treat yourself, or a loved one, to delicious food made with wine! Whether you’re celebrating with your partner, best friend, solo or with a group of pals, here is a recipe from VOGA Italia Wine that are sure to fill your night with LOVE. Of course, don’t forget to save some of your favorite VOGA wine to toast to St. Valentine with!

Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

1 medium onion
2 garlic cloves
¼ cup VOGA Pinot Grigio
1 TBS butter
1 ½ TBS cornstarch
2 ¾ cups 1% milk
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup chopped chives
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
½ tsp Dijon mustard
1/8 tsp white pepper
Pinch of salt
12 ounces non-egg fettucine noodles

In a nonstick skillet, combine VOGA Italia Pinot Grigio, onions, garlic and butter. Cook over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, or until onions are tender. Add water if necessary.

Put fettucine noodles to cook according to instructions on package.

In a separate cup, combine cornstarch with 1/4 cup milk and mix well. Stir remaining milk into the skillet. Bring liquid in the pan to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in cornstarch mixture until it thickens. Boil for 1 minute while constantly stirring. Reduce the heat so that sauce does not boil.

Stir in parmesan cheese and sour cream, mixing well and whisking if necessary to smooth out the mixture. Stir in chives, worchestershire cause, mustard and pepper. Add salt. Cook over low heat for an additional 2-3 minutes. Pour sauce over fettuccine in a serving platter and enjoy!
