CafeWell & Altius partner up on Reach for the Peaks Wellness Program

This is a partnered post written by me on behalf of CafeWell. All opinions are 100% mine.

Today I would like to introduce you to a health and wellness program that is run by CafeWell who is bridging the gap between health plans and their members to help educate consumers about their healthcare and improve member participation. CafeWell provides a fun, safe and anonymous environment where participants can improve their health by participating in various programs.

One such program called Reach for the Peaks encourages activity, awards prizes and gives social acknowledgement to insured members. What is really cool is that CafeWell provides free advice, tips and motivation from Olympic Athletes, Health & Wellness Professionals, Diet & Nutritional Experts and more, to help support users with questions and to help them join in all of the challenges that the program provides. Doesn't that sound like fun? I think so!

CafeWell is a social network to Get Well and Stay Well and has partnered with one of the big health plans called Altius, together they are providing their members with great health programs like the "Reach for the Peaks" program that I mentioned above. In that particular program, members wear wireless pedometers that encourages them to get up and move, which keeps them more active and healthy.

Here is one member's testimonial:

"I am absolutely thrilled with this motivating program."

I could use a program like this myself because I work from home running 7 online businesses and since becoming a work at home mom, I have definitely put on a few pounds because I am not getting enough exercise and physical activity. I think the program would motivate me to turn off the computer and to get outside for some much needed exercise.

Have you ever heard of CafeWell? I would love to hear from some of their users so feel free to leave me a few comments here on my blog.
