Homemade Peanut Butter Pumpkin Bread Recipe

I love to make and bake homemade breads for my family and often times I will make this delicious bread recipe which is a big hit with the kids in our family due to the addition of the peanut butter chips. You know kids...they love anything with peanut butter!

This is a nice little twist from the classic & traditional homemade pumpkin bread!

Peanut Butter Pumpkin Bread Recipe

2 cups canned pumpkin puree
1 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup water
4 medium eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups peanut butter chips (baking morsels)
1 cups chopped nuts (your favorite nuts or omit them)
1 cup plump and juicy raisins

Blend pumpkin, oil, water, and eggs in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; gradually add to pumpkin mixture, blend well. Stir in peanut butter chips, nuts and raisins. Pour into 3 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until done. Remove from pans and cool.

This is a great bread all by itself or let the kids drizzle some vanilla icing or vanilla glaze over the top. We like it served warmed but you can certainly serve it at room temperature.
