Grilled Apple Cider Chicken Recipe

While you can use chicken drumsticks, thighs or wings with this recipe we prefer using chicken wings when we make the recipe but my sister prefers using chicken thighs. If you don't like your chicken with a hot kick...you can decrease the hot pepper sauce to only 1-2 teaspoons.

Grilled Apple Cider Chicken Recipe

2 1/2 lbs. Chicken drumsticks, thighs or wings
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp. liquid hot pepper sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Preheat Grill. Combine vinegar, sugar, pepper sauce, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper to make a hot sauce. Set aside 3/4 c. of the mixture to use as a dipping sauce. Use the remaining sauce to marinate the chicken. Place chicken on hot grill. Brush with the basting sauce. Grill for 13-15 minutes, basting often. Turn chicken over and baste the other side and grill for another 13-15 minutes. Cook until the chicken is done which is when the juices run clear.
