Homemade French Chicken Marinade Recipe for Grilling

Today I am sharing with all of you another vintage recipe from my great auntie's stash of recipe clippings. This recipe is at least 35 years old and she said it was one of my uncles favorite marinade sauces and he used to use it a lot when he was barbecuing chicken out on the grill.

Homemade French Chicken Marinade Recipe

8 oz. bottle of French style salad dressing
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried Oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup white wine

In a small mixing bowl combine together all of the ingredients listed in the recipe in the order they are given. Place 4-6 pieces of raw chicken into a marinading container and pour the sauce over the top. Place container into the refrigerator and let the chicken marinade in the sauce for 4-6 hours or overnight. Remove and place chicken onto a hot grill and barbecue until done. Toss any unused sauce.
