NMEDA Helps Disabled People Get Out onto the Road Again!

This is a partnered post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you all heard of NMEDA before? If not, let me tell you a little about this fantastic company and how they help disabled people get out onto the road again!

NMEDA stands for National Mobility Equipment Dear Association and the company got it's start out of the great state of Florida. In 1989, NMEDA opened up their membership to others and now you can find 600 members here in the USA and in Canada.

NMEDA is a non-profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers, manufacturers, driver rehabilitation specialists and other professionals who are dedicated to helping people who have disabilities get the transportation that they need and deserve. This can be vehicles that are modified that the disabled person can drive and/or vehicles that have been modified and used to transport the disabled person from point A to B.

All members who are part of NMEDA's network are required to adhere to the safety standards set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. These standards are updated yearly which keeps safety at the top of their priority list. In addition to the NHTSA guidelines, members must meet and follow the guidelines set forth by NMEDA.

The QAP (Quality Assurance Program) is a nationally recognized accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry. The QAP program was developed and put into place to promote quality, safety and reliability within this important industry. The QAP program is the only one of it's kind in this special industry and is highly respected, nationally. The QAP designation enhances vehicle modification & mobility equipment installation in a manner consistent with the highest guidelines in the industry.

I would love for you to visit a NMEDA QAP (Quality Assurance Program) Dealer for mobility solutions to learn more! In addition, you can use their handy dandy dealer locator on their web site to quickly and easily find a dealer near you. You can use the locator to find wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment that is located near you.
People who are disabled want the same conveniences and experiences as everyone else. One way they can have it is by getting wheelchair accessible vehicles or specially modified vehicles to help get them from point A to point B. This can be for going to and from doctors, running daily errands, going to school or traveling and seeing the world on a nice vacation.

If you know someone who is disabled, please let them know about NMEDA. You can grab additional information about NMEDA and QAP directly from their web site. Thanks!
