The Tender Filet contacted us and asked us to review a gourmet foodie item for all of you. For the review, we selected the set of four, 4 oz. Filet Mignon Steaks and decided to have a romantic dinner for two with them. The Tender Filet carefully packs each order by hand and it's shipped to you on dry ice in a styrofoam cooler. The Filet Mignon steak is perfect for anyone who enjoys a good beef steak because it's thick-cut (about 1" thick) and once cooked, is fork-tender. All of The Tender Filet steaks are hand-selected filets that are cut from the heart of the beef tenderloin and evenly trimmed for consistent quality. Each steak is carefully aged to reach it's full potential for flavor and tenderness. Once ready, they are vacuum-sealed and quick frozen to retain every drop of juiciness.

We thawed out our steaks overnight in our refrigerator so that they were ready for the next day. We seasoned ours with a little salt and pepper and then threw them onto the grill with some freshly sliced mushrooms. Each steak took about 10 minutes to cook and once done, we served ours with some buttered lima beans and freshly baked sweet potatoes. We sat down for dinner and dug in!
The first thing I want to say is that I LOVE that they came vacuum-sealed which keeps all of the juices secured and no freezer-burn at all. Each steak is individually packed, so you can thaw out however many that you need. They cook up super quickly and smell sooooo good while they are cooking. You will see the juices just oozing from these steaks as they cook. Once done, they are super tender and you really don't even need a steak knife to cut them! They have a delicious taste to them and well, we wish we would of had more than four!

We buy steaks all of the time at our local grocery store and/or farmer's market and they NEVER taste as good as the ones from The Tender Filet! These steaks are absolutely delicious and I would NOT hesitate in ordering them for my family! I think they are fabulous for everyday meals and for those upcoming holiday meals when you want something special to eat.
