Medium Signature Roast Coffee by Don Tomas :: Coffee Review

Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Don Tomas Coffee Company who makes some of the best coffee that my husband and I have ever tried! Here is a little history about the company.

Company History: Decades ago, our grandfather, Don Tomas set out on a journey to fulfill a dream of contributing to his homeland. He started by buying a small piece of land and began to cultivate superior coffee in Nicaragua. Today that small piece of land has grown into a thriving community of people, who work, raise their families and call the Don Tomas Coffee Plantation their home. Our family farm supports the community by providing schools for the children, health care for the families, and steady employment in an otherwise uncertain environment. Our commitment to the coffee has always been clear. For several decades our family farm has produced the highest quality, shade grown, and 100% handpicked Arabica coffee. Multi generations of farm workers have lived, worked and shared farming knowledge on the family farm, this allows us to maintain the highest farming standards and consistently offer only quality beans!

My Review: The company sent us a bag of their freshly ground Medium Signature Roast Estate Coffee to review for all of you.  This coffee comes from the Estate: El Triunfo, located in Jinotega, Nicaragua. The coffee arrives to you in a dark bag that has been sealed to protect it from sunlight. One of the things I appreciate from Don Tomas Coffee Company is that their coffee bags are 100% resealable!

Hubby and I love to drink coffee and we drink it every day, sometimes several times a day. When we enjoy coffee, we like a medium-body coffee and we prefer it to be ground. (we don't have time to spend grinding up our own coffee beans). Furthermore, we don't like "bitter tasting" coffees and NONE of the Don Tomas coffees have ever been bitter.

A few days ago we popped open our new bag of coffee and brewed ourselves a fresh pot of coffee. As soon as you open the bag, you get a good whiff of some great smelling coffee beans! We brewed our coffee and then sat down to enjoy it. We both like a little sugar and a little cream or milk in our coffee.

The aroma and taste of this Medium Signature Roast coffee is absolutely fantastic! Matter of fact, two hours later we brewed a second pot of coffee! Just yesterday I brewed of a pot of this coffee and shared it with my mother and two neighbors, everyone remarked that the coffee tasted great with no bitterness at all.

If you enjoy a medium-bodied coffee, this coffee would be for you! Head on over to the Don Tomas Coffee Company's web site and take a look around. I encourage you to try out a few bags of their delicious coffee! If you are looking for a coffee fundraiser, they offer those too! Yeah! Thanks Don Tomas!
