Today, I would like to introduce you to the company called Coffee Bean Direct who has been making delicious tasting gourmet coffee since 2004. The company is based in the great state of New Jersey and you already know how much I love the Garden State!
When you shop for coffee at Coffee Bean Direct you will find both regular coffee (with caffeine) and decaf. In addition to coffee, you will find loose tea, tea accessories and coffee accessories too! The company carries over 100+ varieties of coffee and over 70+ varieties of tea...so definitely something for everyone who enjoys coffee and/or tea.
The company sent me a complimentary bag of Columbian Decaf Coffee to try out for all of you. This coffee comes packaged in a 1 lb. bag. One of the things I really like about this company is that they put expiration dates on all of their freshly roasted coffee bags. For example, the bag I received for the review is stamped with a 6/28/14 expiration date. That tells you that it's definitely fresh!
As soon as I popped open the bag of decaf coffee, I could immediately smell how fresh it was...I just love that coffee aroma! I measured out the amount that I needed and brewed an entire pot for hubby and I to enjoy. The entire time it was brewing, you could smell that delicious smell that just made your mouth water. Geesh, I wish my coffee pot brew coffee faster as I was getting really inpatient waiting for it to get done.
Hubby and I sat down after dinner and gave this coffee a try. He enjoys his black and I enjoy mine with a little cream & sugar. The first thing that I noticed was that the coffee was NOT bitter at all and had a really nice smooth taste to it. I would describe it as being a "medium bodied" coffee. Not too strong, nor too weak. It is exactly the way that I prefer my decaf coffee to taste. In the past 3 days, we have brewed 4 pots of coffee using this product and wow...we get more impressed with it...with each & every cup! Delicious!
