Homemade Peach Cobbler Dessert Cheater Recipe

I love making homemade desserts for my family and usually make one every 2-3 days from scratch. With that said, sometimes I don't have the time to fully make a dessert from scratch and that is when I turn to what I call "cheater" recipes.

Today I am sharing with you my sister's cheater recipe for homemade peach cobbler and trust me...it's delicious and you would of never guessed that she used a boxed cake mix to make it.

Homemade Peach Cobbler Dessert Recipe

1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans peach pie filling
1/2 stick butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
nonstick cooking spray

Open cans and place the peach pie filling in the bottom of a glass baking dish that has been lightly misted with non-stick cooking spray to help prevent sticking. Mix together in a mixing bowl the cake mix, melted butter, ground cinnamon & ground nutmeg. If necessary, you can add additional melted butter if your batter is too dry. Pour this mixture into the baking dish on top of the peach pie filling.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place baking dish into the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until done. Remove and let cool. This cobbler can be served warm, room temperature or chilled...whatever you prefer.
