How Your Products Come Shipped
Over the next several weeks I will be reviewing several of their food items here on our Shakin 'N Bakin Foodie Blog and our sister Two Classy Chics blog. I think you will love all of the food selections and I will be sharing some really easy recipes to go along with them.

Today we are reviewing the 8 oz. Filet Mignon Beef Steaks from Sunrise Specialty Foods. This steaks come to you individually vacuum-packed and frozen. When you take them out of the box, you will want to thaw them out in your refrigerator the day before you plan on making them.
Seasoned Filet Mignon
These steaks are trimmed and you will NOT find any fat or gristle on them which really pleases me! Once thawed, you will want to season them up and then cook them until done. In our case, I seasoned them with salt, ground black pepper and some McCormick steak seasoning. I then wrapped a slice of bacon around each filet mignon and we baked them in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, turning them once during the cooking process.

If you like them rare, you will want to cook them for 8-10 minutes, for medium 10-12 minutes and for well done you will want to cook them for 12-16 minutes. The cooking instructions are right on the box, so you don't have to guess at that at all.
Filet Mignon from Sunrise Specialty Foods
While our bacon-wrapped filet mignon was baking, we got busy preparing our side dishes. What is really nice is that from start to finish, dinner was on the table in less than 30 minutes flat. Great for a busy weeknight dinner or for a special occasion when you don't want a lot of fuss but want something delicious to eat.

Wow, these were the BEST steaks we have ever made at home! Having the right cut of meat that is trimmed and high-quality makes all of the difference! These steaks were super juicy and you didn't need a steak knife to cut them. Nope, a fork and a fork & butter knife was sufficient! The meat was tender and really flavorful. These are the types of steaks you pay $35 to $40 a piece at a fine dining restaurant but you can make them at home and at a fraction of the price!

They were absolutely delicious and really easy to make! If you are a steak lover, we highly recommend that you head on over to Sunrise Specialty Foods and see what they have to offer. Fantastic!
